Autumn and Horse Fair

The Autumn and Horse Fair was started in 2016 by the Asociación Huelva Ecuestre, which still organises all the equestrian events. In 2022, after two years without a fair because of the pandemic, the City Council added it to the city's festival calendar, established Parque Alcalde Juan Ceada Infantes as the fairground and opened the first Municipal Marquee; in 2024 it became a council-owned fair.

Each edition is dedicated to a town in the province with an equestrian tradition, which receives the fair's «bolt» from the previous year's guest: Almonte in 2022, Lepe in 2023, Aljaraque in 2024, Palos de la Frontera in 2025 and Beas in 2026. In 2026 the fair grew towards the estuary, with the show ring on the Muelle de Levante and a new street of marquees on avenida de Hispanoamérica.

Every day from noon to 8 pm there is a horse and carriage parade around the fairground, and the ring hosts cattle-herding dressage displays, carriage, rider and horsewoman competitions and equestrian shows. On Saturday the carriages parade through the city centre. The Municipal Marquee is free to enter, with music by local artists.

The opening includes the handover of the fair's bolt from the previous year's guest town to the new one.
