The Aljaraque Town Council, with Fad Juventud and the 'Prevención a Medida' programme, held a first session this Tuesday at IES Fuente Juncal to assess the intention to consume alcohol among 2nd year of ESO students.

The Onujazz association celebrates on October 24 at its venue in Aljaraque, at the former Camping Las Vegas, a day of live music, workshops and dance that starts at midday and is open to the general public.

The Aljaraque Town Council has accompanied the Guardia Civil in the events of the Day of the Virgen del Pilar, patron saint of the corps, with a mass at the parish of Los Remedios and a gathering at the municipal caseta in which several recognitions were presented.

The Aljaraque Town Council has adapted the access to a container island on avenida Montes de Toledo, in La Monacilla, so that people with reduced mobility can deposit their waste with more autonomy.

The Aljaraque City Council, through the Department of Gardens, is working on the pruning of palm trees, the cleaning of tree pits and the care of the trees in the different areas of the municipality, and is preparing the new grass in the Parque de la Solidaridad.

The campaign 'Ponte en forma en Aljaraque' proposes three guided walks around the town, starting from the Centro de Participación Activa, to encourage exercise as a healthy habit among the population of any age.

The Aljaraque Youth Centre has hosted a traditional board game day for young people between 14 and 18 years old, as part of the Dinamiza-T on Fridays programme and funded by the Activa-T Joven programme of the Regional Government of Andalusia.

The Aljaraque City Council has visited the facilities of the Living Nativity Scene of Corrales, which in its next edition will unveil a building for the dancers and a roof on the Roman construction at the entrance.

The Aljaraque Town Council has scheduled cultural, leisure and social activities for the municipality's seniors this October, including walks, bingo, workshops and visits to other towns.
